Quiet Day

Today is Sunday . What a wonderful day indeed. We spent the morning at church, it was a blessing all around. I spent time talking with ladies from the small group that I attended. It’s always good to see them because it’s been awhile for me. I did not get to finish the last group meeting because I was hospitalized before they finished.

The weather here today is still very hot it’s about 94 degrees as of now. It’s perfect for a big bowl of ice cream , maybe later. 🙂

I want to take this time to thank all of you for your comments and encouragement through out this period in my life, it means so much to me. It let’s me know that I am not alone in this battle, you are all there cheering me on with prayers and words from the Lord. I am surrounded by lots of love and prayers.

After church I came home and had lunch and took a long nap. Now I am writing and watching college track and field , trying to think about dinner.

It’s starting to rain and we have finished dinner. You now how one gets after eating. 🙂 I feel lazy, with the rain just want to curl up with a good read and relax. Have a good night , I pray the good Lord will be watching over us all as we sleep. By the way I did have that ice cream but not much just enough for a child. 🙂

I started this last night and did not post it. Another day has started .I give thanks to God. It’s still very hot and raining . Let us all be thankful for this day and all the many blessing coming our way. The scripture for today ( Matthew 19:26 ). But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God.

    Good morning;
Glad to hear you had a good day at Church.
Weather today here is raining too, your right a good day to curl up read and get some R&R.
I have a similar scripture on a t-shirt that Moe bought me it reads “all things are possible through Christ that strengthen me”.
I know you have a busy day tomorrow, so I will keep you in prayer and look for your good news.
    Have a good day.
    Love always.

    Hey Auntie,
Well it sounds like God has his arms wrapped all around you. And your spirits are high as well, which is nice to hear. When I was reading your blog about Uncle Nelson picking blueberries, I can just image eating Grandma’s blueberry cake she always had in the house.(now am hungry). I am at work, and just thinking about you, so I decided to check in on you. Mom sends her kisses, she is getting ready to go have Dinner with the Queen (how special is that). Try to picture mom sitting at the dinner table with a big hat on.(smile).
Tell Uncle Nelson & Alan we send our love as well. Take care. Will check in on you later.
Love your niece Amanda & Joe

    Hi Auntie,

Just checking in … I’ve been so busy this week attending workshops. So glad to hear how well you’re doing. I have to tell you how much you inspire me with your words. As I read your blog, it’s as if you’re sitting right next to me! Like I can feel your spirit … I’m sure that I’m not the only one who feels this way, even though you’re many miles away. It’s like that with family…

The scripture for today really hits home with me as I go through this journey called ‘life’ onto the next chapter in my life. It’s all in God’s hands! You’ve reminded me to stop and smell the roses – and treasure the things that are free!

I’ll check in with you later. Meanwhile, continue to keep your spirits up and stay faithful. Tell Uncle Nelson and Alan that I said hi, too. May God bless you all.

    Luv Coralyn

    Hi Olga,

Sister Cora here. So glad you started this blog. It’s amazing – I knew you could do it! Your writing is great. You are a very strong lady and I am so proud of you for doing this blog. You also have a very strong family unit. We are praying for you always. I know God has His hands in everything we do. He has all the power. As you know, it’s been three years for me – radiation and chemo. But God has it all under control. He is taking care of His children. As He said in His word, He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is true to His word – so just sit back, relax and let God do His work. Take time for yourself as you have been doing … sitting outside and watching the birds eat your berries (smile). Live life to the fullest! Give my love to Nelson and Alan. Stay strong.

    Love Sister Cora

    Hey O,
    it’s 12:49 am and I’m taking a quick break
to read your blog. I always feel so good after
reading. I wonder if you realize how much this
has touched us. You give back to all of us so
much love and hope for whatever any of us
may be going thru. There is always a bright
and shineing light at the end of the tunnel.
God never puts on us more than we can bare.
I always look forward to our weekly chats.
When I last visited you we had so much fun.
Picking strawberries in your garden took me
back to nova scotia. Now you tell me you have
blueberries. Well I hope you, Nelson and Alan
save some for me to pick:).
I’m hoping to see you soon. So stay prayerful
and remember God is always 2 steps ahead of
us. You couldn’t be in more capable hands.
LovU Sis We’ll talk over the weekend.
